In the past five years has your tribe conducted a comprehensive tribal survey of tribal citizens or community (not the US Census) to create population, demographic, and/or socioeconomic members information for decision-making?

Tribes are starting to conduct their own comprehensive surveys of tribal citizens or community members in order to create data for decision-making. However, very little information has been gathered about the methods tribes are using and the questions being asked. The Native Nations Institute’s (NNI) “Tribal Censuses: How Native Nations are Counting Citizens and Communities” project seeks to collect general knowledge and best practices about conducting comprehensive tribal surveys.
